Thing 3- RSS

Finding and adding RSS was great. I get the hang of it and this will help me to scan articles from journals that I usually have to wait to come by mail or search the web for new items or pertinent items. Will save time and effort plus I want have to wait for articles. One great RSS is the electronic version of the P&T Committee journal in that you get the RSS feed then look at the journal right on the screen and turn the pages just like it was on your desk (only no carbon footprint). Saves time, money and the universe- what more could you want.

Thing 2

I took this course to learn more about the web and WEB 2 which I have not heard much about. Boy has my eyes been opened. I feel quite sheltered. I know some of these things and are getting more into Facebook, etc but man this is exploding. Learned a lot more from the videos. Pretty basic but they give you the grounding. I understand the concepts better now. Worthwhile to spend the time (about 2 hours so far). Will keep going through the Things. Enjoyable.

First Blog

Can you believe it. I have never blogged before. This was easy. I have reviewed many of the templates and am trying to find the one that is most appealing. It is going to take a lot more experimentation to get the gadgets, the links and all the other tricks on the page. I am very impressed with the caliber of blogs that were suggested by the 8 Things. Hopefully someday I can be that sophisticated. By the way does this have spell-check? I am the worst speller.
